For those of you who have read Rafen already, well done. You made it! Like I said, my best description for my work goes something along these lines: "Outrageously busy fantasy fiction that wallops you in the eye". I see people after they've finished Rafen. Those who enjoy fantasy normally read it within a few days. They come away looking very shell-shocked. I feel for them. The Sianian Wolf (pronounced The SIGH-AHNYAN Wolf) reads in much the same manner, except the intensity level gets pushed up another notch. I must have been drinking way too much coffee when I was writing that book.
For those of you who are intending to read Rafen, but are not in a position to start The Sianian Wolf, don't worry. You can save that madness for a later date if you feel so inclined. I realise that these release dates mean some people will fall behind - including, perhaps, myself. I have been fighting to meet all my deadlines, but it is certainly busy.
I am thrilled to see this book out there. I'm thrilled because I poured even more of myself into this novel than I did into Rafen, I believe. I'm thrilled because this book introduces a number of new characters who have a lasting impact on the series. Perhaps the most important of these characters is Sherwin, who really determines the course of the plot. I'm also thrilled because I got to put my favourite animal in this book.
I wrote most of this book at age eighteen, shortly after I signed my literary agency contract. My Mum and grandparents have received the dedication for this novel, and Mr Peter Rose - who donated me several laptops - is in the acknowledgements.
I guess one of the most incredible things about seeing this book release is that after I wrote Rafen and landed a contract with it, I thought to myself: "I don't know if I can ever write something at that level again." And then, along came the Wolf. God keeps giving me the strength and ideas for these stories, so I pray that I will likewise, one day, find myself at the end of the series, looking at seven books and marvelling at His grace.
The Sianian Wolf is now available on Amazon in the USA and UK, Smashwords, Barnes and Noble, Kobo, and Book Depository.
