So, I'm not currently a member of the SFFANZ society in New Zealand. However, a fellow author tipped me off with regards to this - it looks like I'm eligible to be nominated for the Sir Julius Vogel Award, because I'm a New Zealand author who was published in 2015. Would anyone be interested in nominating my book for the Best Novel, Best Youth Novel, or Best New Talent categories? I don't expect to get anything, but it looks all right to say in query letters or your CV that you've be nominated, even only once.
It works like this:
Email sjv_awards@sffanz.org.nz.
Say you would like to nominate Rafen (or The Sianian Wolf or Servant of the King or The Fourth Runi) by Y K Willemse for one or all of the three categories above in the Sir Julius Vogel Professional Awards.
Only make one nomination per email.
