As well as achieving top student in Massey University's distance component of Editing and Proofreading, Yvette was also published first at sixteen, spent two years with Alan Duff's international literary agency, and has also worked for Permuted Press in Tennessee. Her books Rafen, The Sianian Wolf, Servant of the King, and The Fourth Runi were published in 2015. In 2016, she was signed by Hartline Literary Agency, and in 2017 Burnett Young Books offered her a seven book contract. Rafen is currently in its second edition of ebook and paperback, and The Sianian Wolf, Servant of the King, and The Fourth Runi have released for the second time too. In 2019, Yvette's next two installments in her series (Consort to the Shadows Part One and Part Two) were published for the first time.
Yvette has additionally been in the Waikato newspaper the Cambridge Edition and also in The New Zealand Herald and Hamilton News for her writing achievements. She has been interviewed on the Dr Briar Lee Mitchell Radio Show and on Radio Rhema, been featured on a Buzzfeed article, and been nominated for the Sir Julius Vogel Award. In more recent times, Yvette was published in How to be an Author.
